Ok, it would seem this morning that Eve has had a change of heart regarding Boaz. When I turned on the moonlight LEDs Boaz woke up and nestled in close to Eve. Instead of moving away from him she pointed her nose toward the top of the tank which is a courtship cue. Then the 2 of them hitched tails and she basically dragged him around the tank. Of course it will probably be a few months until his body catches up with his heart and he can be a real mate.
Little Ruth was totally oblivious to everything. I may have been premature in naming her as she may actually end up being a late blooming boy. They can mature anywhere from 4-8 months or even later. If she is a he then I will change the name to Reuben, ha ha!
