I am wondering how much I should vary the ammount of current for day/night in my reef tank. My thought is to run both my return pump (500 gallons per hour) and an additional pump on a SCWD (600 gallons per hour) during the day.
At night I can turn of the SCWD pump and just run the return pump. Is this too much of a current variation for my tank? My tank is a 36" wide 70 gal.
