Day Trip to your LFS

Hello SLASH -

We are planning on doing a LFS run in St. Louis this weekend, we will be coming from Springfield MO in which we are new to the area here. We would like your opinion on the fish stores you have there in St Louis. I have already routed a map of all the LFS's listed on the sticky at the top of the page, but just in case we dont make it to all of them are there any ones imparticular that are a MUST to visit or any to avoid... any advice will be appreciated.

I'd at least make it to Gateway Aqautics, Tropical World Pets, Clayton Pet Emporium, Beldt's Aquarium and Marine Solutions.

My Top 3...

1) Gateway Aquatics - great prices, usually have a "Buy 2 $20 corals, get one free" deal or something similar--lots of good quality corals

2) Clayton Pet Emporium - good selection of very nice corals

3) Marine Solutions - Big store - lots of selection

OK, I'll go top 5...

4) Beldt's - usually a great selection of fish, have some good corals also

5) Planet Reef - perhaps the best prices on fish and good selection--coral selection is often lacking

But...all stores have their +'s and -'s. And of course this is all JMO.

I beleive each store has a web site, so you can get a good idea of what it is, each store, mainly focuses on. Some stores are better with fish, while other have a very selection of corals. If you are doing a fish only, or looking for awesome selling corals, this might help you decide which store to speand more time at, or put towards the top of your list. You also can see what they got in this week. This might help with deciding which store you may want to see first.
Most importantly all the store around here, have great people working in them. They will be more that happy to help you pick what you want, and pack it just right for the long trip home.
