dc return pumps.

I'm running the M1. Major complaint I've heard is heat. I don't do any fancy controlling with mine. On at 100%. That said, I'm not running any heaters at the moment.

I've seen some complain about the L1 but I'm not sure what the issue is. I range the waveline DC 6000 for a few years without incident or issue. A few good options out there.

I've read a smattering of complaints about pretty much every pump out there. The only issue I can think of is that some folks running them externally had overheating issues over some relatively high %.

I'm trying to use the Aquamaxx Magnus. I tried the 9000 series and it couldn't handle the head loss in my system. Marinedepot is working with me to upgrade this to a 12000 but they don't have it in stock right now. When I get that in, I'll be able to use the neptune flowmeter to assess its rate with about 13-15 feet of head loss.

With respect to the L1. MarineDepot gave me the option of any other pump. It came down to two. The Deepwater Aquatics line is also on my list because they have a controller coming out with a 0-10V DC input that can be used with my Apex. The L1 is absolutely not Apex compatible and you will have to resort to using a programmable outlet. I figured if that was the case, then I would go with the Aquamaxx DC 12000 which has exactly the same specs at a lower cost. The Aquamaxx 9000 model is extremely quiet and works great if you only have about 5 feet of head loss.

Been running a Waveline DC12000 for about 3 years now with not a problem.
Cleaned it yesterday for the second time. ;) :)

Are you using the 0-10V input?

Figures -- MarineDepot doesn't have that one in stock either. It seems that all of their high flow DC pumps are out of stock.

I'm liking the looks of that Waveline DC12000. If you have any knowledge of how factual the head loss vs flow rate figure is... that would be helpful I have an Apex VDM sitting in a box because I thought I needed it a few years back. I'd love to blow the dust of the box and use it.

Decided to go with a Sicce SDC 9.0. I'll let you know how it goes when I get it.

How do you like it, I just unboxed it. I'm sure it's gonna be way better than my old jebao

I've had my sicce SDC 9.0 for a few days now and I like it. Much better compared to jebao for sure. The controller with wifi is neat as well.
