two plugs not working on DC8, is this in any way settings based, or are the plugs defective?

I just plugged a light into the two sockets that aren't working, and the light didn't come on. All plugs are manually turned on.

You can try cycling the power to it, leaving it off for a few minutes in between.
If the outlets are the relay outlets (4 & 8) you can sometimes try a firm smack on the side of the DC8 to shake them loose.
Do you have any other control type modules where you might have an address conflict?

Okay, I'll cycle it--the two outlets (not sure of the numbers) are the first, left top and the last, right bottom, looking at the controller upright. No other control modules, just the DC8...

I pulled the plug for about 10 seconds, plugged back in...nothing worked, though the green connector light was on (on the DC8). Then after a few minutes, one of the plugs (for the actinic) came on. Is this uncommon?

I'm also getting a runtime error (overflow) when trying to configure Auqanotes...nothing's easy.

I had 6 of 8 working, unplugged and had zero of 8. Then after about three minutes, I had one of 8...now I believe it's back to 6 of 8... you think this is hardware?

This is likely normal behavior for the 6 outlets which seem to be working properly. The communications bus on the AC3 systems is one-way... the controller does not "know" the status of the DC8 outlets.
The AC3 will periodically resend the desired current state of the outlets to the DC8... IIRC, the default setting is to resend every 5 minutes. You can change this in the controller - Setup->Timer Setup->Repeat Interval. When I had a AC3, I set it to 1 minute.
What happened here is that when you unplugged the DC8 and plugged it back in, the DC8 defaulted to all outlets being off. A couple of minutes later, the AC3 did its normal resend of desired current outlet state, and then those 6 outlets went to the state they should have been. If you unplug the DC8 again, you can "kick it in the butt" by setting all outlets OFF, then back to Auto or ON as desired, which will then set the DC8 outlets to the desired state immediately.
So, I think 6 outlets of those outlets are OK.

Really appreciate it---seems that they're back on now, except for those two, which are still down... any idea what I can do about those two outlets? Is it possible I somehow burned them out? They were apparently working yesterday.
