DC8 to Apex?

Besides begin able to read the amps on a EB8, are there other differences between these two? Is it worth it buying a new EB8 instead of using my current DC8 on the apex?

Which cable is the one needed to connect a DC8 to the apex? Any direct links to the cable I need?

Thanks!

The EB8 supplies power to the Apex via the Aquabus. So, if you don't have at least one, you will need a 12VDC adapter. There is also Fallback capability. In the event that communication is lost between the EB8 and Apex, each outlet can be programmed to change to failsafe state. I would recommend at least one EB8 and using the DC8 for extra outlets.

I currently have one EB8 and one DC8. Would it be worth it if I sell my DC8 and get at least half of what it's worth new and just add the rest of the money for the EB8 instead? I think i would rather have that extra safety in case they lose communication

I have your current setup/situation. I do not believe the incremental value (basically having amperage readings) is worth the cost to upgrade. I also do not believe you are buying better hardware per se. (one outlet has already failed on my eb8 - 14months old -whereas my DC8 has never had an issue for years).
