Yeah this one looks really rough... I hope the person that just bought it knows how to take care of shell rot.
You think that the shell rot came from the lights they use? In this case don't you think they would have put it in a tank with something a less powerful for a light to prevent the shell rot?
I don't think that it came from the lights. Possibly it got hurt/damage during its capture (maybe)? Then the infections kept on spreading? Actually I don't even know for sure if it is even shell rot.
And I couldn't see them spending a lot of money on lights for holding/quarantine tanks. My assumption would be flourescent lighting for these non coral tanks.
