DD Misbar Flame

Actually I had it in the cart but another fish story came up. Wish I had room for it. Less black is better IMO
 
If it actually makes it on there until Payday I will probably buy it.... but being broke right now and in the middle of moving and an upgrade today just isn't my day :(
 
I don't get paid until 12:00-5:30 am est. friday so I am 99.9999999% sure someone will beat me to it which is fine really. Although I would love to get it, it would probably be best if I didn't with everything else going on right now, I'd hate to get it and risk losing it in the move/upgrade anyways. Its definitly a beautiful fish and will make someone very happy I am sure :)

In the sense that people want the misbars yes, but totally different otherwise. They aren't that common IMO, and the angel misbars are naturally occurring, not due to being raised under human supervision. Having a misbar angel is something different not everyone will have and its kind of special in that regard. Anyone can pic up a misbar clown at the LFS, sometimes its even hard to find nice clowns with the full striping :(

But it also depends on the fish, everyone wants that emp that has a full mask and perfect striping, not the one that changed in captivity and is lacking those characteristics ;) (Not to say you can't have an emp that you changed in captivity with those characteristics.)

I found a cool pic of a flame misbar I will post up later.
 
The one thing nice about mis-barred fish is that if you have several of the same size you can tell then apart forever.

That's very true. I actually thought about getting it last night because this FA looks very nice but it appears to be a male and I already have one in my trio. Then thought about putting it together with a Coral Beauty that's about ready to come out of the QT but the CB is 3" and very feisty but I don't want to lose either one.

If anyone know of a mis-barred female please let me know I'm willing to set up another tank for just the two of them. :)

If it is, it is most likely 90% loric. and 10% ferrugata. I doubt it. It is just a nice misbar flame.
 
I love how if any fish looks a little different than, say 90% of all other fish within a species, it magically gets labeled "hybrid".

I love seeing hybrids in this hobby, but I also find it amusing how quickly some people are to label a fish "hybrid".

I am not pointing any fingers.
