DE metal halide ceramic whoopsie?

Hey all.
I was installing a new AB 10k de bulb in one of my fixtures a little while ago, and on the one end of the bulb the ceramic kinda broke. :(
The metal circle at the end of the bulb is still in tact and the bulb still fires. Is there any risk in running it? I don't plan on removing it unless it is unsafe until 8 or so months from now.
Safe or remove?
Thanks

any photos of the break? depending on where the fracture is, you might be releasing stray electricity into the fixture housing.

I have ran quite a few of them broken before with absolutely no problem. Having said that, there is always a risk, but if nothing else is touching that pieces other than the ceramic endcap then you should be just fine.

Thanks for the replies guys.
Actually is was the lower end (toward the bulb) that broke. Amazingly enough the end part w/ the little metal circle is still in tact. I'll get some photos posted tomorrow.
Thanks again.
Stewie
