Dead Algae Removal

I have a lot of dead algae on my LR from a tank move a few months ago, I am looking for removal ideas, I know I could scrub it off with a toothbrush, but I don't want to stir that mess up in the tank if I can avoid it. None of my current snails, hermits or lawnmower blenny will touch it, anything you can think of??

Clean my rocks with brush in a bucket of tank water during water change. Rocks go back to tank and algae/muck stays in bucket and then gets discarded.

Tape the toothbrush to the end of a hose, and a filter sock on the other end of the hose. Put the filter sock end into the sump and get, and get a suction going through the hose. Now when you scrub, the algae will get sucked into the filter sock.
