Dead Anemone

My anemone was sucked up into my powerhead and now is all over my tank. What should i do? i took all of the large pieces of the anemone out of the tank. Should i preform a water change? Will anything in my tank die from this? Please help....

by the way it's a small bubble anemone...

Definitely do a water change.

just a basic water change? how many gallons?

I would suggest 20-25% to be safe and then watch nitrites and nitrates

see link for info...i got some of the black mesh covering and covered the intakes.......decreased flow a little but worth it,luckly i saw mine before it was too late...just started getting sucked in ...shut it down and gently removed it from the intake...all appears well i relocated the anemone to the other side of the tank, has been there since the incident

p.s. got mine in the craft section at wal-mart it was like $1.00
and used cable ties to secure it
