Dead Cleaner Shrimp

This morning I awoke to a dead cleaner shrimp couple inches from the base of my BTA. The clowns were chillen inside. The shrimp didnt look eaten what so ever. Is it possible that he was killed from the BTA? I had two cleaner shrimp, and the other seems to be fine. They have been in my tank a few weeks now!

I did see molt the other day, and it looks like just the outer skin, this one was the entire thing. I pulled it out body, legs and all, plus I could find the other in the tank.

Hopefully it's just his molt. Shrimp molt every so often shedding their outer layer of skin. This is not a bad thing. Sometimes Shrimp don't survive the molting process, but most of the time they do. Iodine seems to help with the molting process. Take a good look at your tank to see if you see your shrimp hidding anywhere. Most of the time after they molt they will hide until they feel comfortable coming back out. Good Luck

is it clear? id its clear with a little bit of coler its probibly a molt. if its completly colered then it might be dead but they dont die to easly.

Sorry to hear. If he did molt the other day and your just now finding a dead shrimp in your tank then it's prob. easy to say that he didn't survive the molting process.
