a clown went MIA last night and i just found the body (about 24hrs later)...sniffle....(something enjoyed a 16$ meail)..now should i expect any adverse effects? like ammonia spikes or nitrates, etc? my candy cane kind of been closing up so i hope thats not causing that problems?.....

im starting to wander if this is some sort of punishment for going out with the g/f for sushi lol....

im still wandering what the hell could of killed him.....

sorry it died---i was following this on another thread

depending on how long your tank has been established there might be an ammonia spike
monitor over the next 24-48 hours--if you see a spike then do a 30 per cent water change.

not related to the candy cane coral at all

I have lost a few fish in my system that entirely disappeared. If your system is stable and has a good clean up crew you may not notice anything at all. One thing, and this is just IMO, but in this hobby I wouldn't get too attached to any fish because they seem to come and go. At least to start anyway. You could get one with something wrong from the start then one day it just goes belly up. Sadly, the way it is.

its a 55gal tank with a 20gal sum(so 10-15gallon) so 65ish gallons total.... the tank has been up for only around a month now....

as long as you matched the water temp and salinity they won't notice a thing
check your ammonia in the morning===it might be ok with that amt of water change

good reefing--you made a good decision:smokin:
