I have had a peppermint shrimp die, got another one and it died. My water parameters are right where they should be. My tank is a 24G nano with a 6 line wrasse and 2 clown fish. My larger clownfish is a little aggressive. Don't know why my peppermints are dying...HELP!!!
Are you acclimating? Shrimp like other shelled creatures have an exaggeratedly long acclimation requirement, because their shells don't 'breathe' and they can't 'sweat'. Two hours.
I was told to add 1/2 C tank water every 15 min and when the water was double what the water the shrimp came in to pull him out and put in tank. They both lived over a month b4 dying. Can acclimation cause them to die that long after they were put in?
