i have had some live rock in a 10 gallon soon to be sump wiht water and a heater, the heater failed and the water ha been about 60 or less for almost a wekenow, i never shecked it, also the salinity is very very low, moor lie kbrackish water, the rock smells like low tide, will this rock be safe to use in the sump? or whoudl i just trash it?

Probably no need to trash it, but I'd treat it like new rock that needs to be cycled.

Then I would learn to spell and understand that Floyd died long ago. I like their music but you should be listening to something new.

Slowly raise tank to proper temp. Also correct to proper salinity(over time...avoid sudden changes). Any thing left alive on/in rock will either acclimate or die. Add circulation/filtration/skimmer and a little time, and you might be surprised to the amount of life left in your rock!:)

Don't throw it out, you can either cycle it or throw it in with your other rock. It will bounce back in no time.
