i got 10 trochus snails yesterday. i dripped acclimated them for 1 full hour. transferred them to my tank, they moved a bit but died a few hours after. this has also happened in my other tank. i haven't had luck in keeping them including skunk shrimps.
I have a 180 gal tank with 75 gal sump. reef octopus skimmer rated for 400 gals. water parms are all zero for ammo, nitrite and nitrate. i havent checked my phosphate level though. my ph used to be 8.6 but i check just today and it is down to 8.2. no additive was added. i just had a 15 gal water change a day before adding the snails.
what gives?
