dead stream 6000 transformer

Hello,

I have a stream 6000 that I bought back in June that died a few months ago. I finally got around to diagnosing it and found that the primary coil on the transformer was an open circuit.
The pump doesn't seem to be jammed or anything and the circuit board on the controller looks fine. Should I just replace the transformer or do I need to have the whole thing checked out.

Thanks,

It is extremely unusual for a transformer to fail without another cause. Please send the pump in for repair.

BTW, oddly the transformer was all that was wrong, I tested it and it draws 11W just like it should, I couldn't find anything else wrong.

Bizarre...
I don't think it ever had anything jammed in it. It worked great until one day, it didn't...
Well, hopefully it was just a defective transformer.

Thanks!
