Dead Tang ...... lobsters dinner?

Hi,
Was wondering if i should take all my tank apart (live rocks and soft corals ect.) to get my dead Yellow tang out or to leave it in as my purple spotted lobstrer is eating it down the back of the tank! Ive only got a small tank( 150ltrs ) 3inch live sand bed and 20 kilos of live rock all the reading are excellent and the tanks been running about 8 months. any feedback would help......Thanks

depends on the size of the tang itself. Many fish that die in captive tanks are never even seen after they die. Scavengers are pretty good at consuming them pretty rapidly.

If after a couple days the fish is still around, I would get it out myself..

Just keep an eye on ammonia and nitrates in case the tang rots too much before being consumed. Lucky lobster...expensive dinnner

thanks for the replies .....I think I will leave it in and see whats left . Its nice to see my lobster out! thought he might have died cos I had'nt seen him for two months

I would expect to maybe see a molt after a meal that huge for em
