If it's sloughing off slime from all over and smells beyond terrible when removed from the tank. If it doesn't respond when touched.

Hi Beadlocked455 ; If it looks like it is melting and disintergrating and it smells really really bad , suck it out with a siphon so it does not pollute the rest of the tank.... Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
