Dec meet?

It seems like we certainly have people interested. Step 2 is to see what we can do about it :-D

What are people's thoughts on some sort of gathering in Dec? I'm thinking either Dec 4th or 11th.

...this of course is predicated on having a place TO meet at
Anyone have any ideas on where we might be able to meet? Doubt the group will be large, but it would be nice to be able to sit down, talk casually and have a few good discussions on reefing (I know I have a few good ideas).

I'm up for a meeting on either day. Not sure on a place to meet however. Pending everyone's age a casual place like Fox N Hound, TGIF's or Dions could work for a first meet. A place more in between SF & ABQ would be nice but not sure where.

4th would work better for me. I agree someplace neutral, that way people will not have to stress about hosting.

A neutral place is a great idea, especially when we are still trying to get to know eachother

On the suggestion of a middle ground, are there any sort of casual places in the rio rancho/bernalillo area? Sorry, but I'm still learning my local area :-D

Well, since there were no objections then, Dec 4th at 3pm at Boston Pizza off Jefferon and i25.

I'll try and set up a calendar page etc where people can RSVP so that we know who is coming etc :-D

FB requires a facebook account and google calendars requires email exchange (unless I missed something. not terribly familiar with either).

Considering the venue, I presume no one will be bringing frags for swap?

I'm sure some frag swapping can be had before or after or on the side :-D I'm not terribly familiar with the venue, and being that I'm the most out of towner, I was counting on suggestions of others and this was is it :-D

I value this first meet as a meeting of people to get to know each other and see if we can line out any sort of future ideas.

I'm going to try to make it too. I just took a load of frags to SW Reef Co. so i won't have any at the meeting. Maybe next time.
