**Open to CTARS members only**

In an effort to keep the photo contests going, here's the details for the December contest. I big thank you to Chriskid for offering up a frag pack for the winner!!

To celebrate the holidays, this month's photo theme will be Red and/or Green livestock. The subject of the photo must be predominantly red, green, or a mixture of the two.
* Contest is open to current CTARS members only. If you're not a member, please don't waste my time or yours by entering.
* Deadline is December 12th @ 11:59 PM EST. Any photos submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
* Winner must be present at the meeting next weekend to take delivery, no exceptions.
* One entry per member.
* Please do not enter if your tank is not able to support SPS. The frags will be mainly acropora with some montis & seriotopora mixed in.
* Photos should be no more than 1000 pixels wide/high on their longest dimension.
* Photos must be taken by you and be of your tank.
* Photos will be judged on proper focus, correct usage of white balance, & composition. It doesn't matter if the pic is of GSP, Kenya tree, or a FTS so long as it's a good photo.
* Winner will be anounced on Sunday morning. If the winner is unable to come to the meeting, I will have a second & third place winner lined up to get the frags in their absense.
* Images the have already been submitted to previous photo contests will not be considered.
* Previous winners must wait 3 months before being eligible to win again.

And last but not least, a request that I have no way of enforcing... When the frags grow out into colonies and you decide to start pruning, please bring some frags to a CTARS meeting for the raffle prior to selling them.

I'll also be looking for a new panel of 5 judges. Judges are eligible to enter a photo in the contest, but cannot vote for themselves. If anyone is interested in being a judge, or in donating a frag pack for a future photo contest, please send me a PM.

Nice pic chris...lol

One thing that was suggested to add to the rules...

* Image must have been taken within the past month... No digging through those photo albums!

Now let's see some NEW photos!

i just took it lol:)
good amendment though:) i like an excuse to try to get a good shot.

I'm still trying to figure out what I cam get a good pic of that isn't drowned out by the blue in my lights. Changing the aquablue special to a coral+ makes all the difference looking at the tank but makes it a nightmare when taking pics. Everything comes out super dark

Try increasing you're ISO or try sampling a white spot on your sand bed to get a custom white balance with the given light you're shooting at. If you have a hot shoe mountable flash take it off and bounce the light off the side to eliminate glare and side light yor subject
