deciding on a tank

Alright, I am wanting to setup a tank, I currently have a 75 gallon. 48x18x21. So now I am wanting to go a different route. I am curious as to what dimensions of a tank you would prefer. I dont plan to have any big fish, just probably 2 clowns, couple firefish, so in other words, small fish. Corals I will have lps, clam, and anenome. I want to be able to have 2 mp10w es on this as flow, lighting I would like to do LED if it wouldnt break the bank. So now, What would be a good size tank? I was thinking a tank like 36 x 24W x 18H?

To keep cost low on equipment this is a great sized tank. 36 inches is not to large for mp 10s but I would still prefer 40's. As far as lighting is concerned you will obviously save money over going with a 4ft tank like you currently have. Also the added depth will work great for keeping your animals happy and creating better aquascapes. I myself am buying the same exact tank but I might go 20 or 21 high since leds can penetrate so far and I have 2 mp40's.
Yes, This is ultimately a personal preference but by what you have stated above this would be a great sized tank for you.:fish1:

Why do you want to move away from the 75g, particularly to something with roughly the same water volume? Is it just that you want to go shallower and deeper? Building a new stand can be time-consuming, if that is any factor.

REason I want to move away from the 75. I got an offer from a fellow reefer on my light and the tank as a package deal thats hard to turn down. I hve a curren outer orbit 48 inch dual 150's and 4 t5s. I want to get away from halides and go leds, or an ATI fixture. For the 75 gallon the dual 150's work, but i think i need more lighting. I may just go back to my 40 gallon breeder that i started with. I am expectin a my kid to be born any day, and i think it would be easier to maintain and wont cost much to keep the breeder tank going.
