So I've been planning my 180g build for a while, and am finally starting construction this week. I've already bought a skimmer (SRO XP-3000), but no other form of filtration. Anyway, I've been toying with plans for an ATS for a while, and have decided to go for it. This is my first large tank, so I have no idea how many cubes per day I will have. The plan is medium to high bioload, some tangs/large fish along with some smaller wrasses/clowns.
Can anyone with an 180g or similar large tank chime on on how many cubes they average and what size screen I should go with for my ATS? I obviously don't want to undersize and find out I'm feeding too much later. And oversizing will lead to bad growth until I'm fully stocked?
