Decorator Crab

Hello
I want to know itÃ"šÃ‚´s safe the decorator crab for corals, i buy one and, i put in the refugium because a friend say the decorator crab eat corals.

They will most likely be destructive to your corals. I have 1 ia a 5 gal and for fun I put my out of control xenia in there and watch the crab walk around with xenia on his head for a month

They are destructive, but some people think it is worth some coral damage (obviously not SPS or SPS) because it is funny how they take polyps and place them on thier heads. The polyps grow back eventually anyway if you have a large population. Watch out for the round ones though, they eat corals. The ones with the skinny legs just placed them on their heads.
