Decorator Crab

Does any one know if these are safe with SPS and LPS. I know that softies get abused by it. I have had it for a while but it has lived in my sump. I would love it in my main display but if it takes out my SPS and LPS then I will give it away instead of putting it in my display. I was originally going to setup another tank upstairs and it would have went in that tank, but I changed my mind. it is currently about 4-5 inches.

I think it would only mess with softies. Just do to the fact that the hard skeleton of the sps and lps would keep it from sticking to the crabs body.

I think it actually secretes something to place it on its body, but have not seen it do it so I am not sure.

I'm searching around and all I'm seeing is pictures of zoos, polyps, kenya trees stuck to their back. No LPS or SPS yet.

I am pretty sure you are right. I thought LPS would definitly be out because of their structure, SPS is what I am most worried about. As long as I can be positive about those, He will move into the display

So this crab will not stay in the macro area of the sump. It continues to move to my Return area of the sump. So can someone tell me the benefits of it hanging out there or cons. If there are none either way I think I will give it to a good home for free.

I did it with just some hermits. had some shells growing gsp and some other stuff, and the crabs moved right in.. was pretty cool....

Anyone have one of those porcelain (sp) crabs? Are they safe for softies zoos fish?

I have a porcelain he's awesome. If you're lucky he'll live in a spot where he's often viewable.

GWA always has them in stock and they're affordable little buggars too.
