dedicated electric

since I am currently building a new home and have all kinds of options at this time, can anyone recommend what they would do to make setup easier in regards to electrical requirements or anything else that would be nice to have in the area of the tank. drains, water etc...the tank will be in the downstairs gameroom and most likely built into a wall that I can have all of the equipment on the other side

I ran 2 20amp services to my tank

I don't have a new build but if I was to do it I would;

Floor drain and tile or splash guard the room

Separate air exhaust and AC if needed

Sink and of course plumbing, space for RO/DI storage and water change storage

Maybe some sound dampening in the walls

Work in a way to wire in a generator from the outside for power outages. Or allow space for a battery backup system

Use blue board, not dry wall

Dedicated Electrical with GFI’s and lots of outlets. You may even want to play with some outlets being switched and have a large light switch panel built in.

I sure there is stuff I’m leaving out

one thing that i would look at is a work top that drains to a sink so you have a place to work on wet stuff with out the mess. like one of the commercial three compartment stainless sinks with built in counter next to it. that is used in a restrant for dishwashing.
