Your Fan is probably a Ptrerogorgia and it prefer a moderate to strong flow.
you should place it in light or not.
Not too difficult to feed but it prefer natural sea water than synthetic salt.
I believe that is Diogorgonia, one of the most common non photosynthic gorgonians available, care is difficult, needing lots of food and good flow. Lighting isn't important, but do not let algae cover the animal as this will kill it.
As i read, it is very dificult to grow in aquarium. I'he got one since may and she may eat nauplius and proton 1/2 from INVE. it's possible that the food only "scoth" on the polyps and it look like as it eat the food.
