There reason I asked about species is it looked similar to one of mine that Vlad (atomik) identified as A. multiacuta. Does it look similar to yours??

yeah that looks very similar to mine. Also i've seen frags of my coral turn very yellow like yours.

And just for show a picture of my a.echinata. I have had it for 2 months I think....it hasnt encrusted yet but seems to be doing well with polyp extension and some growth on the branches. Im especially proud because I found it for $40 at the LFS.
