defrosting cyclopseeze

For those who feed frozen cyclopseeze do you rinse it in a net in the sink first or just soak it in a capfull of tank water then pour it directly in the tank? Just wondering if whatever melts off has aminos etc in it i.e.-"good stuff" or just extra nutrients i.e.-"bad algae food"? Sort of a silly question I know:)

I take a little chunk and hold in front of the powerhead with my fingers. As small as it is it would be completely tank temp is seconds after leaving the main chunk. I think.

I do about the same thing. I feed cylopheeze almost every day (first meal for my Anthias). I take a chunk about 1" x 1", hold it in front of a PH for a few seconds, and throw it back into the tupperware and into the freezer. The chunk will last a week, week and a half. I agree, they are very small, and are likely defrosted and to temperature almost instantly as they are blown by the powerhead.

All i do it cut some off with a knife over the tank and the fish go crazy for it..... They go after the little chunks really fast....

When I get the Bar I smash it.

Then I stick a small chunk to the screen on one of my powerheads. This defrosts it fast and blasts the cyclopeze all over the tank.
