Thinking I'm going to order a Deltec AP702 for my new 220 build

These can be run in-sump, correct?

If I use a Mag7 to feed it, do you think that's too much flow or should I drop to a Mag5? They say ideal flow rate is 600gph...

if your looking at in sump skimmers there are some cheaper options that work better, the Deltec design is old and the price is quite high.

the bubble kings and ATBs are better skimmers and cost less. i have a couple friends who sold their deltecs used and bought ATB or BK plus saved some money, they are very happy with the new skimmers (i switched from deltec to an ATB and it works much better)

i would look at the bubble king Supermarin 200 and ATB 1050A or the 10.5 deluxe.

I purchased this skimmer when I set up my 265. It is a good skimmer. Well built etc. Those two eheims just ate my electricity up...for less money I bought a Bubble King SM250...and WHOOOOOO!!! Great skimmer...silent and very efficient. If you are going to throughout that kind of dough...look at BK. Also Deltec has new more efficient skimmers coming out also. For your size tank you could even do a Vertex Cone which is basically BubbleKing for $999.00
