So I have been on the forums for a couple years now with multiple tanks, multiple problems.
I decided to go to a larger tank and I am so glad I did. I got this tank around 2-3 months ago and added SPS around 6 weeks ago. I have had LPS and SPS before but it was always a mixed tank, never just SPS well that changed and for some reason I like these sticks. Especially milles and acros.
My system:
-180 gallon DT with dual overflow
-40 gallon sump with 3 sections with a refug filled with cheato in the middle
-My skimmer is a super reef octopus xp2000 external but I run it internally
-I have 2 gyre xf 150 on each side and I have 2 Jabeo RW15s on the back of the tank to make sure there are no dead spots
-my return pump is a mag 12
-I have a sunpower ATI 8 bulb with 2 reefbrites one on the front and one on the back, the bulbs are 4 coral plus and 4 blue plus
-I do not run any gfo
-I dose both Alk and Calc via a bubble magnus pump
For corals: I am honestly so bad with names that hopefully yall can help me with them. I know I have a lot of acros and milles with some of them being pretty rare, some of them still have to color up but they have been doing great in my tank with great PE
For fish: I have 2 clownfish, 1 purple tang, 1 powder blue tang, 1 yellow tang, 1 blue eye kole tang, 1 green wrasse, 2 carriberyi anthias, 1 green chromis, 1 firefish. I am sure I will get some comments that it is too many tangs but I honestly do not think so and if they do get too big or fight, I will move one or however is needed.
Dosing/additives: All I do is feed twice a day, dose 2 part for calc and alc, and i feed acropower every morning when the lights are off.
Pictures: All were shot with my Iphone with an orange/pink filter to take out all the blue. The corals look a lot better in person but I thought this would at least show what I have and how good the PE is right now(knock on wood) I did not touch the pictures with an picture editing, I am still hoping I can figure that out to see how to make the corals look like their true colors in person
