Rehn, other than Dons what else is there? I have been to a couple others but wont mention names. one is ok, pretty dirty and the other i would not buy fish from. just my opinion though, for what ever thats worth:)

I love Don's for coral. No question. But have you tried Animal Attraction for fish? They don't have the best selection of coral(not horrible, better than a lot), but they get a great variation of fish at good prices. They always have tons of clowns(especially black percs and I've seen a good amount of wild perc pairs). Also, how often do you walk in to a fish store that has a mystery wrasse, gold assessor, a helfrichi firefish and a blue spotted jawfish? And the last two were under $100. You can't even get them online for that. Definitely worth checking out of you are looking for fish.

On a side note, I've never had much luck going to stores down in Denver for livestock. The problem is that you have to go on just the right day. I've been going to Ki's for 10 years(how many times has the name changed?). Sometimes it's good, others it sucks.

Neptunes I find to be pretty expensive. How about Todd Tropicals. Corals are weak, but the fish selection is usually pretty good and you can see how he banks off the tanks in 4 sections. That makes spotting ick and things like that pretty easy. I spend about a hour there watching the 4 bank when I spot a fish I want. He prices are ok, but what store has super bargins really?

Todd's can have some nice fish, I keep forgetting that he's not in Bonnie Brae anymore. I used to buy all my Discus from the old store.... many, many years ago.

Sadly, when I walk into the new store, I'm frequently ignored and have to seek out help... though it is very easy to check out the fish due to the layout.

how about the fish den on 44th in sheridan? they dont have a great selection on corals but on fish they have some pretty good prices and specimens

I was just in Aquamart yesterday and they had a lot of different clowns including the true percs. They also had the flame hawkfish. My son really liked watching him. Not sure I saw a Midas Blenny or not, but another shipment of fish was just arriving when I was leaving so maybe they had one in there. Good luck with your fish search.

Sweet thank you. i will definitely hit Aquamart tomorrow. Yeah love watching the hawk swim also. There eyes are cool the way the move! Great fish!

thanks again everyone, Much appreciated

I have seen flame hawkfish for $35 to $40 at Sherman Tank Co. They have a pricelist and availibilty list online. I forgot the web address, but maybe you can call them......303-427-1019

Rmougey,

Is Ronny still alive at Toddรƒยขรขโ€šยฌรขโ€žยขs?

I used to trade lots fish (including Discus and Angels) with Ron years ago. (I actually remember going to the Bonnie Brae store (Before the fire) back to the late 1960รƒยขรขโ€šยฌรขโ€žยขs.

I vaguely remember when Ronรƒยขรขโ€šยฌรขโ€žยขs parents ran the store. (But my memory could be fooling me on that recollection)

Regards,

Scott

Also would like to add the price on the Kole was outstanding! I checked there Reef Crystals salt out and was very happy with the price on a bucket there also

Hello Scott. Nice seeing you on here. I see you are still living in Texas. I am doing well, with the exception of having surgery on my knee on Thursday and trying to think I could move around a lot like a dummy. Paying for it right now. How have you been doing?

Thanks kdblove.....that's not a bad price. If I lived closer I probably would have bought mine from them.
