Anyone have any input on depleting magnesium level in my reef.Since changing over to my 210 gal reef with all new ro water and sand bed from a 150gal tank to the 210gal the magnesium level on the first test was 1250. second test 2 weeks later 1100.I added esv magnesium to bring the level up to a target of 1350 or maybe 1400.After many years with this reef tank I never had magnesium deplete before.Any thoughts!

Are you doing water changes? What mix? Some may be low in magnesium. Try measuring it.
Also, I wouldn't focus too much on 2 measurements, One or both may be in error. A surprisingly large number of "problems" in the forum are mostly test kit error/noise.
How are you supplementing calcium and alkalinity? Some supply some magnesium, others supply none and will result in depletion. The more calcification, the faster the depletion.
