Derasa Clams and VHO?

I would like to add a clam to my tank, but I know they tend to require very good light. Someone suggested that derasas don't need as much. I only have VHO lighting, but it seems to work well for my soft and LPS corals. Any chance a clam will do well in non-halide lighting?

Dusas look great under 65k lighting ! IMO the dersa has the best "from above" view of any of the clams.

You should be fine, I have 4 48" 6500K and 2 48" Actinics. Mine it's 7" now. I have it since 2005

Thank you very much for the replies. My bulbs are actually 10,000 kelvin lights so that should help too. I just didn't want to bring one home only to have it die a slow death.

ETA: I also have actinics and moonlighting (led's) in addition to the 10,000K bulbs.
