Hey Guys,

I inherited a Derasa clam a month or so ago. It is in my 150 under LEDs and is doing well. I have never had a clam before and we are getting ready to relocate almost 900 miles. I have no idea on the transportation issues with clams and have considered selling the clam.
Having said that, the Derasa is the size of a football 9"-10" long and in perfect health. What would be a fair market price for this? Have no idea what an LFS would charge nor what to expect for it in the hobby.
Any input would be appreciated. I am trying to attach a photo. It is hard to get a good picture of it and the colors are distorted from the LEDs.
Please let me know what a fair price would be for this in your opinion. Or if you can provide advice to transporting this beast.

I bought a 12" derasa from a local club member for $80. It was a good deal, but that the price/species/size so figured I put it. At a fragswap I did see a 10-12" squammy that sold for $300.

Depends on rarity. Picture looks like a fairly common deresa, so $100 give or take.

Could fetch $150-200 in a LFS displayed well in my opinion. There's always someone looking for a centerpiece and who doesn't want to wait the 5 yrs for a 2" version to grow. I wouldn't take less than $100 for a healthy one of that size unless absolutely pinched for space or time!
