Desardin Sailfin Tang

My juv. Sailfin Tang is losing color on its back fins. My water par. are good, nitrates are a little on the high side for a reef tank 5-10 ppm. The only cause I can think of is diet. I mostly feed meaty foods, fish eggs, mysis, cyclopeeze. I also feed elos pellet food. There is plenty of algae in the tank, I am fighting bryopsis. I have placed Nori on a clip, but not action there. I guess I will try attaching it to a rock with a rubber band and dropping it on the bottom. What do you all think?

My sailfin eats absolutely everything. Hard to tell what your problem is without pictures. I'd start by feeding spectrum pellets. I only supplement other foods in my tank for fish that don't eat the pellets.

Where is your SF's fins black? mine just has a little black as the border of it's top fin.
