Detached clam foot

i was going to move my crocea up to a new place in teh tank. It was sitting int eh sand bed for a few days and so i went to punll him out and he was slightly attached. i was wondering if i might of injured my clam? its foot, im assuming was still attached to the clam though. (a bunch of fringey looking white thing?) sorry about the short description but i gotta run to work
