I was wondering if anyone else bought some of these from Chris and has had problems with them. I bought a 5 polyp frag and 3 days after putting it in the tank, all the polyps closed and now (bout a week later) 3 of the polyps look dead. the other zoo frag i got is doing wonderfully as are all of my other zoos. I have tried moving it through the different levels of the tank but nothing seems to be helping..... any suggestions?

I have a 2x 96w PC on there and water flow is light to moderate in the spot where it was. parameters are all in within normal limits..... i have approx 3 other colonies in the same area where i started it off at and they are doing just fine even getting new growth, its like this one is the odd man out

on what size tank? i would definitely put them in more flow. as they did come from a tank with much more light and flow.

thats not really enough light IMO to make them glow like they were in chris's tank. but i would move them up to the highest point on the rocks you can...closest to the light and in stronger flow. that may help to open them up.

I've had some since last summer that have done real well in my tank. I'd try dipping it in some TMPCC, or Lugol's.

IME, zoas don't close up from insufficient light or waterflow, that will make them open up more than usual. Zoas staying closed up is a sign that they're diseased and dying, or being irritated/eaten by a predator. Keep an eye on them at night to make sure you don't have nudis, spiders, or something else (check about an hour or more after lights out).
