Devil's Hand frag

I have a 1" frag that has been moving (from flow and inverts knocking it out of crevices) around the tank for over a month. It finally inflates during the day and several of the little "spikes" are poking out. Should I glue it to a piece of rubble on it's end that was attached to the colony, or it's side. I have read that acros should be glued on their side. I know it's not an acro, but input from others would be appreciated.

A devils hand will probably detach a itself If you glue it and float off. Rubber band it onto a piece of rubble and it'll attach on its own.

Put rubble in a Tupperware container with a frag cover it with a see through mesh, give it a few days and it will be all good. I have like 2-5 fingers per week that drop off that I use the above method with. I used a lunch meat tupparware, an old mesh bag that I cut up and secured it over the container with a rubber band.

Last night I rubber band the base of the frag to some rubble and set at medium to high light with medium to high flow. Within 30 to 45 minutes the frag inflated and stood straight up. The spike like polyps protruded shortly after. How long usually for attachment?

Usually about a week or two. Make sure the band is not on too tight or the devils hand is too tight and will split into two.
