I have what I believe is a problem with intestinal parasites. I have tried soaking foods in PraziPro but the fish refuse to eat it. Can I use metronidazole instead and what is the preferred method of administration?

Is this in your DT? If so, I think your best option is to soak metro in food and see if they'll eat that. I wouldn't dose it directly in.

Is PraziPro effective against internal parasites when dosed into the water column? I was under the impression that it would only treat internal parasites when added to the food and ingested orally.

It will work against internal parasites if added to the water. There was a thread were someone fed their fish prazi and they all died. I am not sure if the prazi was the cause but the best thing to do is use it as instructed.

IME; Prazi is effective against most flukes and some intestinal parasites. However, I've encountered strains of both now it didn't work on (and I don't think I'm the only one).

Metronidazole, on the hand, has worked on intestinal parasites every single time for me.

API General Cure contains both prazi and metro, so you get the best of both worlds. ;)

Fenbendazole works too, as does levamisole. I soak food with that along with that and prazi in seachem focus. The fish seem to eat it. I'll add levamisole and metro they don't respond. I do one feeding of the medicated food every 5 days, for 15 days.
