DI nessary for FOWLR? Or just reef?

Would you say a DI attachment to a RO unit is a necessity for FOWLR or just for reef? Or does it just depend on the TDS in the water after the RO and is used when RO isn't enough by itself?

That depends on what's in the tapwater. I think it's safer to add the DI stage, but you could try going without one. People are successful that way.
