About Dec 2006 I noticed my yellow tang had increased respiration, loss of appetite, seemed uninterested . I moved the tang to a hospital tank where I treated him with life gaurd...his appetite returned and seemed more interested in my appearances to feed. But respiration continued to be heavy.

Feb, I took down my main tank and moved my emperor, precula clowne, a few blue legged hermits, two snails, and some nasarius snails into the newly cleaned out hospital tank along with the yellow tang...

Not until today Mar 20th did I notitce that now my emperor tang has succumb to the same symptoms as my yellow tang....Yet my yellow tang within the last few days now will eat dry foods...

I know that there are many ailments out there but would this beconsidered Viral or Bacterial....??

Is it possible that a fish could be suffering from either for over 3mos and eventually pass it to another...??

I know that perhaps I need to set up a long term hospital tank to treat the ailment...but what could it be?
