Just got a diamond goby and he's doing great. Musta been a bulldozer or home decorator in a former life. HE has absolutely turned my tank upsidedown 2 or 3 times already and I've only had him for a week. Do these guys eventually calm down or can I look forward to him turning over my 3-4 inch sandbed over every couple of days for the rest of his existance?

Yes you can, that is what they do, and then they spit the sand on your clams. I love this fish, but I would have a devoted tank for them, and they need alot of room. A small sandbed will not have enough nutritional value for them unless they will eat supplements. Some do and some don't and eventually starve to death.

Well I don't have to worry about him starving. He's readily taking pellets, haven't tried mysis yet. At first I thought he was just sifting them out but was able to confirm he kept'em down. Hmm well hopfully a turkeybaster and a few water changes will clear things up.
