Diamond Goby is clouding up the tank

I purchased a new diamond goby yesterday from my LFS and he looks great! The only issue I am having is that the substrate in my tank is clouding up the water. When he starts sifting the sand there is a plume of smoke that comes off with every bite he takes. After about 30 minutes of grazing, the tank is totally clouded. I have the Caribbean live sand and the same thing happens whenever I try to move around the rocks. Is there anything I can do to fix this or will it always happen?

Its either "dust" from the substrate or "dirt" that has settled on the sand. Let that Diamond Goby (DG) go to work, keep changing your filter socks, and keep a close eye on the nitrates, as they may rise from the release of nutrients. Hope your DG does well- they don't have the greatest track record for surviving long term.
