Diamond Tail Flasher

Have seen these very few times are very nice looking flashers but was wondering what kind of things i should be ready for and if they are hardy or difficult to keep? My LFS has the one in the photo attached below coming in tomorrow and want to be prepared if I decide to get it...

Nice looking fish. I've had my two flashers for a short while, and they've been great fish. They ate quickly and are very active. No problems with other fish, including a fairy wrasse.

How much does that beauty cost?

the price for him locally would be 150.00. I would assume that this price is fair being that they are not seen very often.

Thats a very fair price. Their care and behavior is similar to other flashers, though I have found them a little more sensitive than their congeners.

I got mine from NYA. He was very small but has transitioned very well to the DT after QT. He mixes it up with a couple of 4.5" Halichoeres, two 4" fairy wrasse and a McCoskers. He gets his share at feeding time.

Flasher came in really well nice size and great color. Very alert. Will snap some pics of him in my QT this evening left the lights off for him to settle in.

Here he is in qt acclimation box for now so I can watch him. He came out and ate this evening then lights out. My newest addition ....

This guy is doing great in QT. He is already out and about as long as I do not get to close to the tank. I apologize for the not so hot picture skills but if I get too close he dives into the PVC.

He is already eating like a champ. Will probably start Prazi over the weekend.
