Diamonds in the not-so-Rough

Diamonds in the rough simly didnt work for this particualr situation, because the "rough" is actually a nice color morph.

The darker pink ones are what I thought the whole frag was but then I noticed something brighter on top, very interesting so I observed. Used my turkey baster on steroids to move it. Low-and-behold, this was the aura poking out from the top of the zoas.

I cant wait for these to grow out! Please note that this photo does no justice to the absolute brilliance of this coral. I had to scoot it really close to the glass to even get this decent picture and even still its a bit grainy.

The whole frag (~20 polyps at the time) was only $15. Not bad if you ask me.

Nah, I did the whole, buy a nice colony and sell frags immediately and it really slows the growth of the colony as a whole. I've come to the realization that while fragging made me a little money and left me with 80+% of the frag, its not worth it, especially when even "large" colonies look tiny in the 150
