diatom help please

I have been trying to fight against diatom algea in my tank for months but lately it has been real bad. I just moved to a new place so I had to move the tank. used same water, I just added a bad of live sand. All parameters are in check, phosphate is at .5 or 1.0. any good ideas how I can deal with this. thanks

If it's diatoms, it will go away on its own. But since you said "I have been trying to fight against diatom algea in my tank for months", I wonder if that is what you really have. Can you post some pics of it?
