I have diatom spotting on my south down and the tank has been running for a month... At this point should i just wait it out? and how much more time till i can put some some critters in...

PH is 8.3
Ammonia is .15
Salinity is 1.026
Nitrite 0
Nitrate I cant tell cause i lost the card but its a Red Sea Test Kit and its like purple or blue but opaque

Recently my ammonia spiked high from the cured live rock i bought ha ha ha... Sucks.... Anyone have an idea of what i can do to try and keep it under control

Is there any livestock in the tank? If not just wait the cycle out. If there is do 20-50% water changes depending on how high the number spikes.

Its going to be several months before this system balances out so you just have to be patient thru the microalgae cycles, and you can and should continue making reasonable additions despite them. So don't dwell on that. Fortunately nitrates can be easily controlled thru water changes so do an extra change here and there to err on the side of caution.
