diatom ?

I have just gotten my first acro frag and have started using DT's phyto. I seem to be getting more of a rust colored diatom bloom on my glass than I've noticed in the past. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? I have a 29gal and am dosing 5ml every other day.

The DT's might be encouraging the bloom. 5ml is a small dose, but the tank might take a bit to get accustomed to the extra nutrient load, or the DT's might be enough to push the filtration beyond capacity. I'd probably give the tank a few weeks to respond, personally.

Thanks. I think it was the newness of adding it. It seems to be settling back innow. Curt
