Dictyota spreading nuisance

I got this algae in my display from a torch coral I thought I had cleaned well enough. I have been picking it off but it is still spreading. Any suggestions? I have a kole tang but am not sure if he is eating it or not.
Tank is 135 reef.
Thanks.

That's your best recourse. It's pretty but needs to be constantly trimmed. I think tuxedo urchins will eat it but not possitive. My rabbit in my other tank will occasionally eat it when i toss a clump in but i can't have fish in my macro tank where it's going crazy.

Kole don't generally touch macroalgaes like that. Best bets are a Naso, Zebrosoma sp. or a foxface.

Thanks! I could probably fit a yellow tang in my tank, but starving them will be difficult cuz I love a fat fish.

yeah... they will eat dictyota, just not happily. manual removal is your best bet. if you keep up on it (little bit every day) it's actually rather pretty. :)
