I got this algae in my display from a torch coral I thought I had cleaned well enough. I have been picking it off but it is still spreading. Any suggestions? I have a kole tang but am not sure if he is eating it or not.
Tank is 135 reef.
Thanks.
That's your best recourse. It's pretty but needs to be constantly trimmed. I think tuxedo urchins will eat it but not possitive. My rabbit in my other tank will occasionally eat it when i toss a clump in but i can't have fish in my macro tank where it's going crazy.
yeah... they will eat dictyota, just not happily. manual removal is your best bet. if you keep up on it (little bit every day) it's actually rather pretty.
